This is Us Parenting Conference

Saturday | May 5 | 9am-12pm | $5 per parent | Free childcare | Omaha Commons Campus

Parenting is a trip. It's both rewarding and challenging. Whether you are expecting your first baby, parenting, foster parenting, or grandparenting the kids in your life, we want to come alongside you. In a world ruled by soccer practice, art lessons, boy scouts and church it can be hard to figure out who you want your family to be and what your want your family to prioritize. At this year's conference you can choose from several break-out options to help you discover God's plan for your family.

Breakouts:
Let's Talk About Sex (led by a panel of local experts)- How do you talk to your kids about dating & sex? When should these conversations start? We'll dive into this together!

Family Budgeting (led by Shawn and Sharilyn Toney)- It's difficult to figure out how many activities you can afford for you kids to do or what to say "yes" or "no" to. Budgeting can be tricky. Shawn & Sharilyn, parents of 3, have a great grasp on structuring a family budget.

Anxiety & Kids 101- (led by Becky Smith, Professional Counselor)- What happens in the body when kiddos struggle with anxiety? What symptoms should you look for? How can you help kids deal with their anxiety? This practical session will help answer these questions and many others!

Anxiety & Kids- Hands On Workshop- (led by Becky Smith, Professional Counselor)- Through games and role playing, parents will learn how to connect with anxious kids and provide coping mechanisms that set kids up for success.

Set for Success- (led by Stephanie Hall, 5th grade teacher) All kids have "one of those days" regardless of whether they're in their terrible 2's or 17. What might structure have to do with your kid's behavior? Steph will walk parents through simple steps to structure your family for success!
